Job Description

The

The maiThe main purpose of the job is to provide programmatic, technical and administrative support and coordination to the project partners and the Winrock project team. The Province Program Coordinator is responsible to the Project director and works under the direct supervision of the Educational Specialist. S/he coordinates with the Communications Officer and Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for other project activities.

 

            The Province Program Coordinator assists Winrock partners to identify children working in the worst forms of child labor in the agriculture sector for withdrawal and prevention, provide them with transitional, formal, non-formal and vocational education and to ensure that a baseline is established for each individual child and family.

           

            S/he will assist in WI research activities. coordination with government education offices, schools and vocational training institutes in the district and at province level; assist in imparting various training program for children, youth and families at the community, district and province  level; monitor children in schools for enrolment, attendance and retention; assist in identifying locally employable skill training for children and their families for self employment; monitor and provide hands on support to project partners in assigned province/s; undertake regular monitoring visits to program areas, providing on site advise and technical support to project partners in ensuring the delivery of inputs.

Job Requirement

Qualifications and experience

 

·         A Bachelors degree in social science or related field (or a minimum of 3 years practical working experience in child-focused and child protection programs)

·         Work experience with international organizations

·         Proven track record of English oral and written skills

·         Experience in project monitoring

·         Experience in designing rural vocational training

·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

·         Knowledge of the problem of child labor in the country is highly desirable.

·         Computer skills – proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
